The house rules for Dalemma.

Dalemma is run by Dalemma (operated by its founder), based in India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using a family link, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data. If you don't agree, please don't use Dalemma.

Dalemma helps a household decide lunch and dinner. The organizer sets up who eats at home, what they skip, house rules and the menu. Each day we suggest a few options, family members react from personal links, and the organizer makes the final pick. It is not a recipe, nutrition, delivery or grocery service.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Use your real email address and keep access to it (and to your Google account, if you sign in with Google) secure.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at privacy@dalemma.com if you think someone else is using it.
• One person runs each household. Please don't share your login; give family members their own links instead.

When you add family members, you are responsible for the details you enter about them. You agree that:

• You add people only with their permission, and tell them what Dalemma is for.
• For anyone under 18, you are their parent or lawful guardian, or have their parent's permission, and you consent on their behalf.
• When you react for someone (a managed profile), you do it honestly and in their interest.
• You remove someone, or delete them for good, when they ask you to.

Member links work like a key. Anyone who has a member's link can see that member's page and vote as them. Share each link only with that person. If a link reaches the wrong hands, make a new one in Settings; the old one stops working at once.

Fasting and diet rules are applied the way you set them up. Traditions differ between families, so treat every suggestion as a suggestion. For medical conditions or serious allergies, follow your doctor's advice.

Please don't:

• Break the law, or use Dalemma to harass, deceive or harm anyone.
• Enter someone's personal data without their permission, or pretend to be someone else.
• Guess, share publicly or misuse other people's member links.
• Try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or get around its limits.
• Put offensive or unlawful content in names, dishes or rules.

Dalemma is free during the pilot. We plan to offer paid plans later. Before anything costs money, we'll show you the price and the plan's own terms (including billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds) at checkout, and you'll only be charged if you clearly agree there. Nothing you use for free now will turn into a charge without your approval.

The details you enter (names, rules, custom dishes, reactions) stay yours. You give us permission to store and use them only to run Dalemma for your household, as described in the Privacy policy.

Dalemma's app, design, name, dish library and food photos belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only through the service, for your household's own use.

Dalemma is new and still growing. We may add, change or remove features. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error free, or that every reminder arrives on time. If we ever plan to shut Dalemma down, we'll give you notice and time to download your data.

You can stop any time. Settings → Your data → Delete my account deletes your account and every household you run, and all family links stop working.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it or download your data.

We provide Dalemma "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for what is cooked or eaten based on a suggestion. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Indian consumer protection law, or any liability that can't legally be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at privacy@dalemma.com; most things can be sorted out quickly. Any dispute that can't be settled will be handled by the courts in India, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission or the Data Protection Board of India.

We may update these terms as Dalemma grows. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Dalemma after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
